Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship.

something to think about. i will offer myself to God for His use, like a power ranger mega whatev, but like. i've discovered its not "anything He wants" that i will do. its anything He wants that seems do-able to me that i'll do. and what does he want me to do? be a missionary(since school is our mission field) in q-town. not just that though, but to also be pleasing and holy. woah woah woah. thats alot to accomplish. and like. we're supposed to sincerely worship God, because of all the wonderful things He has done for me(1 Samuel 12:24). sincerely. sincerity. and it should be a piece of cake, because when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce the kind of fruit in us; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control(Acts 5:22-23).

and then now i think. how badly i've failed. i know God forgives me if i repent. i know it, but i can't really grab on to that. then now i wonder, what exactly am i holding on to for dear life?

i see a hurricane. leaves are being tossed, trees being uprooted, topsy turvy umbrellas. rain, thunder, lightning. its such chaos. where the wind blows, everything follows. and here a little girl is, with a yellow rain coat, trying to go against it. but she's losing the battle. the wind picks her up.
